About this program
The City of Waterloo Brownfield Community Improvement Plan provides incentives for environmental remediation and redevelopment of contaminated or underused properties. Eligible projects may receive tax assistance or rehabilitation grants to help offset cleanup and redevelopment costs and return brownfield sites to productive use.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are owners or developers of qualifying brownfield properties in Waterloo undertaking approved remediation and redevelopment projects.
Requirements
- Property must qualify under Waterloo's Brownfield Community Improvement Plan.
- Project must include eligible remediation, rehabilitation, or redevelopment work.
- Applicant must apply and receive City approval before claiming incentives.
