About this program
The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is Canada's bank for entrepreneurs and offers a range of business financing solutions for Alberta small businesses through offices in Calgary and Edmonton. The BDC Small Business Loan provides up to $100,000 with online application and quick turnaround. BDC also offers standard term loans, lines of credit, equipment loans, commercial real estate financing, business acquisition loans, growth/working capital loans, and venture capital/growth equity through BDC Capital. BDC provides loans on more flexible terms than traditional banks and is owned by the Government of Canada. BDC also delivers advisory services for Alberta entrepreneurs.
Eligibility
For-profit Canadian businesses operating in Alberta (or elsewhere in Canada); standard BDC creditworthiness evaluation; demonstrated ability to repay; minimum business operating history (varies by product); not-for-profits not eligible for most products.
