About this program
The Alberta Innovates Voucher Program offers up to $100,000 in non-dilutive funding (covering up to 75% of eligible costs) to Alberta-based tech SMEs accelerating commercialization of novel, patentable technologies. Eligible activities include new product R&D, advanced design and prototype development, product testing and refinement, patent development, and advanced market assessments delivered by up to three contracted service providers. Funding is awarded as a voucher to pay service providers. Targets innovations at Technology Readiness Level 3-6 with continuous intake.
Eligibility
For-profit SMEs incorporated in Alberta with fewer than 500 FTEs and annual gross revenue under $50 million; significant Alberta footprint; ability to contribute 25% cash; novel technology with patent opportunity; project at TRL 3-6.
