Yukon Media Production Fund
The Media Production Fund provides a rebate of 25 to 40 percent of approved Yukon spend for eligible professional film, television, and digital media productions.
About this program
The Yukon Media Production Fund supports professional film, television, and digital media productions that generate economic benefit in Yukon. Eligible Yukon production companies can receive a base rebate of 25 percent of approved Yukon spend, with increases for additional Yukon residents in key positions and Yukon ownership, up to a maximum potential rebate of 40 percent of Yukon spend. Projects must demonstrate market demand through a licence agreement or letter of interest and must involve at least three Yukon residents in key positions.
Eligibility
Eligible Yukon-incorporated and Yukon-registered production companies primarily engaged in professional media production may apply for qualifying film, television, or digital media production projects.
Requirements
- Production company must be incorporated in Yukon and registered to conduct business in Yukon.
- Company must be in good standing with Government of Yukon Corporate Affairs and have a Yukon business address.
- Project must be a professional film, television, or digital media project with economic benefit to Yukon.
