About this program
The City of London Upgrade to Building Code Loan Program helps property owners improve older commercial, mixed-use, and institutional buildings so they can meet Ontario Building Code requirements and be reused or intensified. The program is available in eligible Community Improvement Plan areas and can support code-related interior or building system upgrades tied to an eligible redevelopment or adaptive reuse project.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are property owners or authorized tenants in designated London Community Improvement Plan areas completing eligible building-code upgrades.
Requirements
- Property must be located in an eligible Community Improvement Plan project area.
- Applicant must apply before beginning eligible code-upgrade work.
- Work must address Ontario Building Code-related improvements or building systems needed for eligible reuse or redevelopment.
