HCI3 provides impact investment financing from $100,000 to $1,000,000 for Halifax-region climate mitigation projects.
About this program
HCI3's impact investing program provides larger repayable financing for projects in the Halifax region that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and generate measurable community and climate impact. The program can support clean energy, building retrofit, transportation, and other climate mitigation projects with investment-ready business cases. Applicants engage with HCI3 to determine fit, financing structure, and investment readiness.
Eligibility
Organizations, social enterprises, businesses, and project proponents with investment-ready climate mitigation projects in the Halifax region may apply.
Requirements
- Project must be located in or benefit the Halifax region.
- Project must reduce greenhouse gas emissions or advance local climate mitigation.
- Applicant must have an investment-ready project or business case.
