About this program
Momentum's Micro Business Loans help Calgary-area entrepreneurs finance small business costs such as licensing and registration, tools and equipment, advertising and marketing, trade show attendance, inventory, and other start-up or operating needs. Applicants must graduate from one of Momentum's self-employment programs before applying for a loan. The program is designed for entrepreneurs who face barriers to traditional financing and are ready to start or grow an owner-operated business.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Calgary-area entrepreneurs who have completed an eligible Momentum self-employment program and need financing for eligible micro business costs.
Requirements
- Applicant must graduate from one of Momentum's Self Employment programs.
- Applicant must live in Calgary and area or be Indigenous, Inuit, or Metis living in surrounding Treaty 7 territory.
- Loan funds must be used for eligible business costs such as licensing, tools, equipment, marketing, trade shows, or inventory.
