Yellowknife Residential Central Mixed-Use Development Abatement
Yellowknife offers a five-year declining tax abatement for eligible mixed-use developments in Residential Central zones.
About this program
The Residential Central Mixed-Use Development Abatement is a City of Yellowknife incentive for new mixed-use developments constructed in Residential Central zones. Eligible projects must include at least four dwelling units and commercial uses at street level, and projects with more than nine dwelling units must dedicate 10% as affordable housing. The incentive provides five years of declining municipal tax abatement.
Eligibility
Eligible mixed-use developers building in Yellowknife's Residential Central or RC-1 zones may apply for the tax abatement.
Requirements
- Development must be in the Residential Central or RC-1 zone.
- Project must include at least four dwelling units.
- Project must include commercial uses at street level.
