About this program
The 2026 Community Connection and Community Change Grants program provides funding for creative, innovative, non-traditional ideas and opportunities that inspire citizens to be more active, involved, and civically engaged. Administered by Family and Community Services, the program supports community-building efforts that strengthen connection and positive change in Strathcona County. A new Community Grants program is scheduled for 2027 and 2028, but this 2026 stream remains the current community development grant pathway.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include residents, informal groups, community leagues, non-profits, and local groups proposing community connection or change projects in Strathcona County.
Requirements
- Project must benefit Strathcona County residents.
- Project must support community connection, community change, civic engagement, or active involvement.
- Applicant must follow Family and Community Services application requirements.
