Small City grants for community gardens, food trees, and community-led food production projects in Victoria.
About this program
The City of Victoria Growing in the City Grant helps residents and community organizations create and improve community food-growing projects. Funding can support community gardens, food trees, boulevard gardening, common food-producing spaces, and other neighbourhood-scale projects that improve access to local food and strengthen social connection. Projects must be community-led, located in Victoria, and follow City guidelines for gardening and use of public or shared spaces.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include Victoria residents, community groups, non-profits, and garden groups proposing community food-growing projects in Victoria.
Requirements
- Project must be located in the City of Victoria.
- Project must support community food growing or access to local food.
- Applicant must demonstrate community involvement or shared public benefit.
