About this program
The City of Thunder Bay Core Area Community Improvement Plan Facade Improvement Grant helps property owners and businesses improve the appearance and function of commercial buildings in eligible core areas. The program supports approved exterior improvements such as storefront restoration, signage, lighting, accessibility upgrades, and other visible facade work that strengthens commercial streetscapes.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are property owners or authorized tenants of eligible commercial or mixed-use properties in Thunder Bay's Core Area Community Improvement Plan project areas.
Requirements
- Property must be located in an eligible Thunder Bay Core Area Community Improvement Plan project area.
- Applicant must apply before starting eligible facade work.
- Project must include eligible exterior building, storefront, signage, lighting, or accessibility improvements.
