About this program
REGI is a national program delivered across Canada by the regional development agencies — ACOA in Atlantic Canada, CED in Quebec, FedDev and FedNor in Ontario, PrairiesCan on the Prairies, PacifiCan in British Columbia and CanNor in the North. The Business Scale-up and Productivity stream offers interest-free, repayable funding to incorporated businesses producing innovative goods, services or technologies. The Regional Innovation Ecosystems stream supports the organizations that help those businesses grow. Applications are assessed as they are received rather than in fixed rounds, but budgets are tight because of high demand, so agencies ask you to discuss a project with an officer before applying. Apply through the agency for your region.
Eligibility
Incorporated businesses scaling up with innovative products, services or technologies, under the Business Scale-up and Productivity stream. Not-for-profit organizations supporting regional innovation apply under the Regional Innovation Ecosystems stream. Exact criteria vary by regional agency.
