About this program
The Newfoundland and Labrador Investment Attraction Fund is designed to attract large-scale businesses and foreign direct investment to the province. The fund provides customized financial assistance to inward investors establishing a business in Newfoundland and Labrador or expanding a business as a result of foreign direct investment. Support may include loans and advances toward strategic investments in infrastructure support costs, human resource costs, or other costs determined by the Department of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development.
Eligibility
Registered companies or companies committed to registering and operating in Newfoundland and Labrador may apply if the project is driven by inward investment, creates employment, provides long-term sustainability, and would not proceed without funding support.
Requirements
- Business must be duly registered or commit to registering under Newfoundland and Labrador or federal corporate legislation.
- Business must have or commit to have operations situated in Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Project must be the result of inward investment and include a direct contribution from the investor.
