About this program
The City of Chilliwack Industrial Revitalization Tax Exemption encourages industrial capital investment, expansion of the industrial tax base, and new permanent employment opportunities. New industrial buildings or alterations and additions to existing industrial buildings may qualify for savings on industrial property taxes for five years when the construction value exceeds $1 million. The program is intended to stimulate the local economy and reduce the need for residents to work outside Chilliwack.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are owners or developers of qualifying industrial properties in Chilliwack undertaking new industrial construction or alteration/addition projects valued over $1 million.
Requirements
- Project must involve a new industrial building or alteration or addition to an existing industrial building.
- Construction value must exceed $1 million.
- Property must be located in the City of Chilliwack.
