About this program
The City of Brampton Sport Tourism Events Sponsorship Program supports sport competitions that create compelling experiences, increase economic activity, and raise awareness of Brampton as a tourism destination. Applications are evaluated based on economic impact, community impact, and promotion of Brampton regionally, provincially, or nationally. Applications are closed for 2026, but major sport event hosting inquiries are directed to the City's sport tourism office.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are sport event organizers hosting major sport competitions or sport tourism events in Brampton that meet City sponsorship objectives.
Requirements
- Sport event must be hosted in Brampton.
- Event must demonstrate economic impact such as visitor travel, spending, or hotel stays.
- Event must demonstrate community impact, including opportunities for local businesses, youth, charities, or civic pride.
