MRC de La Riviere-du-Nord Agricultural Valorization Fund Loan
The FVA offers $5,000 to $75,000 loans for eligible agricultural projects in Saint-Jerome-area eligible zones.
About this program
The Fonds de valorisation agricole promotes and supports sustainable agricultural development projects in eligible parts of the MRC de La Riviere-du-Nord and nearby defined territories. The loan stream supports new or expanding agricultural businesses, including food transformation where eligible, with financing for capital expenses, production equipment, small buildings, commercialization, research and development tax-credit-related needs, and working capital tied to the approved project.
Eligibility
Agricultural businesses in eligible zones of the MRC de La Riviere-du-Nord, including qualifying Saint-Jerome-area projects where agricultural activity is permitted, may apply for FVA financing.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a new agricultural business or an existing agricultural business with an eligible project.
- Project must be located inside the FVA eligible territory and on land where agricultural activity is authorized by the planning framework.
- Business must be registered with the Ministere de l'Agriculture, des Pecheries et de l'Alimentation du Quebec.
