Technoclimat Program
Up to $3M (innovation stream) or $10M (SPEDE industries) for demonstration of innovative energy and GHG reduction technologies in Quebec.
About this program
Administered by the Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs, Technoclimat supports technological demonstration projects in energy efficiency, renewable energy, bioenergy, and greenhouse gas reduction. The program covers up to 50% of eligible expenses, with a maximum of $3,000,000 per project (regular stream, $5M for transport electrification strategic projects). For industries subject to the SPEDE carbon market, funding can reach 50% of eligible expenses up to $10M per project (pre-commercial innovation), or 25% up to $18M (first commercial production unit for bioenergy). Total combined government aid cannot exceed 75% of eligible expenses.
Eligibility
Legal entities or partnerships with an establishment in Quebec. Projects must involve pre-commercial technology innovation (TRL 4-7) or testing of technology not yet available in Quebec market, in energy efficiency, renewables, bioenergy, or GHG reduction.
