About this program
The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is Canada's bank for entrepreneurs and offers a range of business financing solutions for Manitoba small businesses. The BDC Small Business Loan provides up to $100,000 with online application and quick turnaround. BDC also offers standard term loans, lines of credit, equipment loans, commercial real estate financing, business acquisition loans, growth/working capital loans, and the Business Elevation Loan (announced October 2025 in partnership with Community Futures) for rural businesses. BDC provides loans on more flexible terms than traditional banks and is owned by the Government of Canada. BDC also delivers advisory services for entrepreneurs.
Eligibility
For-profit Canadian businesses operating in Manitoba (or elsewhere in Canada); standard BDC creditworthiness evaluation; demonstrated ability to repay; minimum business operating history (varies by product); not-for-profits not eligible for most products.
