Tourism Growth Program (TGP)
Federal program providing funding for tourism businesses and organizations, including those in Ontario, to develop products and attract visitors.
About this program
The Tourism Growth Program (TGP) is delivered in Ontario by FedDev Ontario (Southern Ontario) and FedNor (Northern Ontario) on behalf of the federal Tourism portfolio. TGP provides repayable contributions to tourism businesses (for-profit) and non-repayable contributions to not-for-profit organizations and Indigenous-led entities, supporting product development, infrastructure, marketing, and attracting visitors. Common projects include tourism experience development, accessibility upgrades, and digital marketing for new markets. Program runs through March 31, 2026; renewal pending federal budget decisions.
Eligibility
Incorporated tourism businesses (for-profit and not-for-profit), Indigenous-led tourism organizations, and municipalities undertaking tourism development projects in Ontario.
Requirements
- For southern Ontario: submit application via FedDev Ontario; for northern Ontario: FedNor
- Provide tourism project description, business plan, financial statements, and budget
- Demonstrate how project will increase tourism visitation, spending, or capacity
