Baffin Business Development Corporation offers equity investment as one of its financing tools for eligible businesses in the Qikiqtani region, including Iqaluit. Equity support can help viable businesses strengthen their capital structure for startup, expansion, or growth projects when repayable debt alone is not the best fit.
Eligibility
Eligible businesses in Iqaluit and the Qikiqtani region may apply for BBDC equity investment where the project and business structure meet investment criteria.
Requirements
- Business must be located in Iqaluit or another BBDC service-area community.
- Applicant must present a viable business plan and capital need.
- Applicant must provide ownership, governance, financial, and project documents requested by BBDC.
