About this program
The Town of Newmarket Historic Downtown Community Improvement Plan includes facade and building improvement incentives for eligible commercial and mixed-use properties. The program supports approved exterior improvements such as storefront restoration, signage, lighting, accessibility, and facade work that strengthens the historic downtown streetscape.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are property owners or authorized tenants of eligible commercial or mixed-use properties in Newmarket's Historic Downtown Community Improvement Plan area.
Requirements
- Property must be located in the Historic Downtown Newmarket Community Improvement Plan area.
- Applicant must apply before beginning eligible improvement work.
- Project must include eligible exterior building, storefront, signage, lighting, or accessibility improvements.
