About this program
The City of Chilliwack Downtown Revitalization Tax Exemption supports downtown revitalization by exempting eligible improvements from municipal property value taxes for up to five years, with a 50 percent phase-in in the sixth year. Eligible projects must involve a new improvement or alteration of an existing improvement valued above $200,000 within the designated area. The program can apply to eligible business-class improvements and residential properties with four or more dwelling units upon completion.

Eligible applicants are property owners within the designated downtown revitalization area who complete qualifying new improvements or alterations valued over $200,000.
