About this program
The City of Regina Special Event Grant - Major supports large community events that celebrate, preserve, and enhance Regina's identity. Eligible events include certain one-time first-time commemorative events, local events for Canada Day, National Indigenous Peoples Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Remembrance Day, and Saint Jean Baptiste Day, and recurring events with established City service support. The 2026 deadlines are January 29, March 26, May 28, and August 27, and applications must be received at least six months before the event.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are organizations producing major eligible public events in Regina that meet the City's special event criteria.
Requirements
- Event must be an eligible major public event in Regina.
- Funding request must be between $5,000 and $50,000.
- Applicant must meet with a City Coordinator before receiving and submitting an application.
