About this program
Component 2 of the MAPAQ Food Processing Program (PTA) helps food processors overcome labor shortage challenges by encouraging investment in automation, robotization, and management system integration. Maximum $150,000 per company or related group, covering 50% of eligible expenses (60% for priority projects such as sustainable development or using Quebec-based suppliers). Eligible expenses include new or used equipment with 3-month warranty, specialized software (ERP, MES), salaries of internal experts (max 30% of aid), and professional fees for external experts.
Eligibility
Quebec-based businesses registered with Registraire des entreprises du Québec carrying out food processing activities (or at least two MAPAQ-recognized activities) for wholesale market or online sales. Must have operated facility in Quebec for at least 12 consecutive months.
