Yellowknife provides up to $10,000 for projects by individuals, groups, partnerships, and businesses that celebrate, promote, or preserve local heritage.
About this program
The City of Yellowknife Heritage Committee Grant supports Yellowknife-based individuals, groups, partnerships, and business entities undertaking projects that celebrate, promote, enhance, or preserve Yellowknife's heritage. The Heritage Committee may grant up to $5,000 per proposal, while requests above $5,000 require Council approval, with a maximum award of $10,000 per project.
Eligibility
Yellowknife-based individuals, groups, partnerships, and business entities may apply for eligible heritage projects.
Requirements
- Applicant must be based in Yellowknife.
- Project must celebrate, promote, enhance, preserve, or leave a legacy of Yellowknife heritage.
- Applicant must submit the online Heritage Committee Grant application during the annual intake.
