About this program
The Downtown Brampton Building Improvement Program supports revitalization of the historic downtown core by offsetting costs for improvements to building systems and tenant space. The program is intended to improve the quality of commercial and mixed-use building stock, support property owners upgrading downtown properties, support business owners improving tenant spaces, and encourage active reuse of heritage buildings. Eligibility
Eligible applicants are landowners, commercial property owners, and business owners undertaking eligible building or tenant-space improvements in the Central Area Community Improvement Plan area.
Requirements
- Property must be in the eligible downtown Brampton program area.
- Project must involve eligible building systems, tenant space, commercial, mixed-use, or heritage building improvements.
- Applicant must follow the Building Improvement Program implementation guidelines.
