Drummond Commercial Incubation Program
Drummond économique and the City of Drummondville provide up to $30,000 in first-year rent support for eligible new commercial tenants in downtown and Saint-Joseph sectors.
About this program
The Programme d'incubation commerciale is delivered by Drummond économique in collaboration with the City of Drummondville to attract new businesses to vacant commercial spaces in the downtown and Saint-Joseph commercial sectors. The program provides business accompaniment and a non-repayable rent subsidy equal to 100% of first-year rent, up to $10 per square foot and $30,000 maximum, paid in equal installments over three years. Eligible uses include retail, entertainment, restaurants, specialized businesses, certain service businesses, and professional offices in targeted spaces.
Eligibility
New commercial tenants or owner-occupants opening an eligible business in a vacant commercial space in the downtown or Saint-Joseph target sectors of Drummondville may apply.
Requirements
- Chosen premises must have been vacant for more than 30 days and be located in a targeted downtown or Saint-Joseph commercial sector.
- Applicant must be a new tenant or owner-occupant establishing a new business and not relocating an existing MRC de Drummond business.
- Occupancy term must be at least three years.
