The Niagara Falls Community Improvement Plan includes a Brownfield Environmental Study Grant for eligible properties requiring environmental due diligence. The program helps offset the cost of studies such as Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, remedial work plans, and risk assessments needed to prepare brownfield sites for cleanup and redevelopment.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are owners or developers of qualifying contaminated or potentially contaminated properties in Niagara Falls undertaking approved environmental studies.
Requirements
- Property must be located in the Niagara Falls Community Improvement Project Area and meet brownfield eligibility criteria.
- Study must be an eligible environmental assessment, remedial work plan, or risk assessment.
- Applicant must apply before incurring eligible study costs.
