About this program
The Nunavut Strategic Investments Program supports economic growth by funding projects advanced by Nunavut businesses, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations. The program includes the Nunavut Business Investment Schedule, which provides contributions to increase project equity for larger Nunavut business ventures in strategic sectors, and the Nunavut Economic Foundations Schedule, which supports Nunavut organizations and municipalities building the foundation of the territorial economy. Projects are expected to demonstrate economic and environmental sustainability, compatibility with Government of Nunavut priorities, and potential to create employment for Nunavummiut.
Eligibility
Nunavut businesses, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, and corporations with eligible strategic business investment or economic foundation projects may apply for contribution funding.
Requirements
- Project must be advanced by an eligible Nunavut business, municipality, nonprofit organization, or corporation.
- Business investment projects must support larger Nunavut business ventures in strategic sectors.
- Economic foundation projects must help build the foundation of Nunavut's economy.
