Metro Business Opportunities Impact Loan
MBO provides Impact Loans of up to $25,000 for eligible St. John's-area entrepreneurs with socially, environmentally, or community-focused businesses.
About this program
Metro Business Opportunities' Impact Loan supports entrepreneurs whose businesses or projects create positive community, social, cultural, or environmental impact in the St. John's metro region. The loan is intended for smaller financing needs and can help social enterprises and mission-driven entrepreneurs launch, stabilize, or grow business activity while generating local benefit.
Eligibility
Entrepreneurs and small businesses in MBO's service area, including St. John's, may apply when the project has a clear social, cultural, environmental, or community impact.
Requirements
- Business or project must be located in Metro Business Opportunities' service area.
- Project must demonstrate a positive social, cultural, environmental, or community impact.
- Applicant must submit a business or project plan.
