Yellowknife provides up to $20,000 for eligible environmental site assessment and remediation planning work on Downtown properties.
About this program
The City of Yellowknife's Environmental Impact Study Grant supports environmental site assessment and remediation planning for properties in the Downtown Zone. A property may receive a 50% contribution up to $10,000 for a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment and a 50% contribution up to $10,000 for a Remedial Work Plan or Risk Assessment after completion of a Phase II assessment, for a combined maximum of $20,000.
Eligibility
Eligible Downtown Yellowknife property owners or developers may apply for environmental site assessment and remediation planning support.
Requirements
- Property must be located in Yellowknife's Downtown Zone.
- Project must involve an eligible Phase II Environmental Site Assessment, Remedial Work Plan, or Risk Assessment.
- Applicant must apply under the City's development incentives process.
