About this program
The Government of Nunavut Small Business Opportunities Fund is one of the schedules under the Small Business Support Program. It helps new and existing Nunavut small businesses with startup, retention, and expansion by supporting eligible activities such as business planning, feasibility and engineering studies, demonstration projects, capital assets, working capital, market development, trade shows, professional services, legal and accounting services, tools, equipment, and related project costs. The program is intended for Nunavut resident-owned businesses and community-based entrepreneurs that maintain operations in the territory.
Eligibility
Nunavut small businesses, resident-owned businesses, sole proprietors, partnerships, co-operatives, societies, artists, craftspeople, and performing artists may apply for eligible small business development projects.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a Nunavut business or eligible Nunavut small business under the Small Business Support Program.
- Business must maintain a registered office in Nunavut for the primary purpose of operating the business.
- Business must maintain a resident manager within Nunavut and conduct the majority of day-to-day operations in Nunavut.
