Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI)

Liquidity support and project funding for businesses hit by tariffs, through your regional development agency.

About this program

The Regional Tariff Response Initiative is the regional development agencies' share of the federal tariff response β€” $3.45 billion to help businesses affected by U.S. tariffs and related trade disruption manage cash flow, stay competitive and find new markets. A business can apply for up to 12 months of liquidity assistance, for pivot project funding, or both, up to $20 million in total when repayable support is included, of which up to $2 million can be non-repayable liquidity assistance. Applications are being accepted across the regions β€” British Columbia, southern Ontario, the Prairies and elsewhere β€” through the agency that covers you: ACOA, CED Quebec, FedDev, FedNor, PrairiesCan, PacifiCan or CanNor.
