About this program
The City of London Facade Improvement Loan Program supports exterior improvements to commercial, mixed-use, and institutional buildings within eligible Community Improvement Plan project areas, including the Downtown, Old East Village, SoHo, Hamilton Road, Lambeth, and other designated areas. Eligible work can include storefront, signage, lighting, accessibility, and other exterior building improvements, with loans generally issued after City approval and completion of the approved project.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are property owners or authorized tenants of buildings located in a City of London Community Improvement Plan project area and undertaking eligible facade improvements.
Requirements
- Property must be located in an eligible City of London Community Improvement Plan project area.
- Applicant must submit a complete application before starting the improvement work.
- Project must involve eligible exterior facade improvements to a commercial, mixed-use, or institutional building.
