About this program
The Spirit of Coquitlam sports streams support nonprofit sport activities, programs, sport hosting, and sports equipment that benefit Coquitlam residents and build community spirit. Sport hosting funding helps local sporting groups host competitive tournaments or events at City of Coquitlam venues or facilities that bring participants from outside the Tri-Cities region. Sports equipment support is available for eligible nonprofit sport organizations through the Spirit Grant framework.
Eligibility
Registered nonprofit sport organizations based in and serving Coquitlam residents may apply for eligible sport hosting, sport activities, programs, or sports equipment funding.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a registered not-for-profit organization based in and serving Coquitlam residents.
- Organization must have been active in its mandate for at least 12 months before funding release.
- Sport hosting projects must take place at a City of Coquitlam venue or facility and bring participants from outside the Tri-Cities region.
