Strathcona County CREST Investment Program
Sport tourism grants of up to $6,500 for Strathcona County sport organizations hosting sanctioned provincial to international events.
About this program
The Community Recreational Event and Sport Tourism Investment Program, known as CREST, helps local sport and community organizations build sport hosting capacity and stage major sport competitions in Strathcona County. Eligible not-for-profit sport associations must be incorporated for at least one year, operate within Strathcona County, and host events in County facilities. Funding ranges by event scale, with up to $3,000 for provincial events, $4,500 for western Canadian events, $5,500 for Canadian events, and $6,500 for international events.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are registered not-for-profit community sport associations operating within Strathcona County and in good standing with Alberta Corporate Registry.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a registered not-for-profit community sport association operating within Strathcona County.
- Applicant must be incorporated for at least one year and in good standing with Alberta Corporate Registry.
- Event must be held within Strathcona County and within County facilities.
