Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) Industrial Transformation Challenge

Provincial TIER-funded grants from $500,000 to $10 million for Alberta industrial cleantech projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

About this program

Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) Industrial Transformation Challenge is Alberta's flagship cleantech deployment grant, funding projects that reduce GHG emissions from Alberta's industrial sectors. ERA has invested $965M+ since inception, with $225M+ in current committed rounds. Awards range from $500,000 to $10 million for projects demonstrating meaningful emissions reduction at commercial or near-commercial scale. Funding is sourced from Alberta's Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction (TIER) fund (industrial carbon pricing). Eligible technologies include carbon capture, methane reduction, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and industrial transformation.
