About this program
Efficiency Manitoba offers solar rebates for commercial photovoltaic (PV) installations on Manitoba businesses. Business rebates provide $0.50 per DC watt installed, with no pre-approval required for systems under 100 kW (systems 100 kW and above require pre-approval). Systems must be sized appropriately to offset the building's annual electricity consumption, and the building must have its own meter and an active Manitoba Hydro commercial general service rate account. Contractors must be registered with Efficiency Manitoba. New buildings and additions must also participate in Efficiency Manitoba's New Building Program. Rebates can be combined with the federal Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit.
Eligibility
Manitoba commercial customers with active Manitoba Hydro commercial general service account; building has its own meter; solar PV system sized to offset annual electricity consumption; contractor registered with Efficiency Manitoba; building owner or designated representative status.
