About this program
The Newfoundland and Labrador Job Accelerator and Growth Program is an application-based incentive for established, profitable companies that establish or expand in the province and create significant new employment. The program provides a payroll rebate of 10 percent for each incremental job created, with an additional five percent for hiring recent graduates in the province or new residents with priority skills. Applicants must create at least 20 incremental jobs over three years, meet minimum salary requirements, and demonstrate a long-term commitment to the province through capital or other investment.
Eligibility
Established high-growth companies with strong management teams and a proven track record may apply if they plan to create at least 20 incremental jobs in Newfoundland and Labrador over three years.
Requirements
- Applicant must become or be a taxable Canadian corporation incorporated in Canada and legally entitled to conduct business in Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Applicant must create at least 20 incremental jobs over a three-year period.
- Qualifying jobs must have a minimum average salary of $50,000.
