City of Burlington Non-Profit Affordable Rental Housing Fee Waiver
Burlington waives eligible municipal planning and building permit fees for nonprofit affordable rental housing projects through 2026.
About this program
The City of Burlington introduced a Housing Accelerator Fund-supported fee waiver for nonprofit affordable rental housing projects. From December 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026, eligible nonprofit affordable rental housing developments may have qualifying municipal planning and building permit fees waived, reducing upfront development costs for approved projects.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are nonprofit affordable rental housing providers with qualifying Burlington housing projects that meet the City's fee-waiver criteria during the active program period.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a nonprofit housing provider or otherwise meet the City's nonprofit affordable rental housing criteria.
- Project must be located in Burlington.
- Project must be an eligible affordable rental housing development.
