About this program
The Downtown Whitby Facade Improvement Grant supports exterior improvements to eligible commercial and mixed-use properties in the Downtown Whitby Community Improvement Plan area. The program helps improve the appearance, accessibility, and economic vitality of downtown buildings through approved facade, storefront, signage, lighting, and exterior restoration work.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are property owners or authorized tenants of eligible properties in the Downtown Whitby Community Improvement Plan area completing approved facade improvements.
Requirements
- Property must be located in the Downtown Whitby Community Improvement Plan area.
- Applicant must submit an application before beginning eligible work.
- Project must include eligible exterior facade or storefront improvements.
