About this program
The Convention Centre Development Charges Deferral is one of the Community and Economic Development Fund's Phase 1 financial incentives available from 2026 to 2030. The incentive supports eligible convention centre development by helping reduce upfront development charge pressure and encourage tourism-supportive investment. Applicants must complete pre-consultation and submit required materials for City review.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are developers, commercial property owners, and businesses undertaking qualifying convention centre development projects in applicable Vaughan areas.
Requirements
- Project must be an eligible convention centre development project in Vaughan.
- Project must be located in an applicable Community Improvement Plan eligible area.
- Applicant must complete City pre-consultation before applying.
