Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP)

About this program

The Canadian International Innovation Program helps Canadian small and medium-sized businesses develop technology with an international partner and bring it to market. Global Affairs Canada covers up to 50% of eligible costs to a maximum of $600,000 for co-innovation projects close to commercialization, delivered with the National Research Council's Industrial Research Assistance Program for Brazil, China, India, Israel, South Korea and Taiwan. CIIP also runs partnering delegations that take Canadian companies to meet potential partners abroad; each has its own application deadline, and the most recent published one β€” the AI applied to IoT delegation to Japan, taking place October 5 to 7, 2026 β€” closed on June 30, 2026. New calls and delegations are posted through the year.
