About this program
The Downtown Event Revitalization Funding program assists with the costs of staging, organizing, and presenting public events in downtown Nanaimo. The program prioritizes events and festivals that activate the downtown area, generate community pride, raise Nanaimo's profile, support collaborations, attract visitors, and promote local businesses, arts, products, culture, history, and attractions. Grant requests can generally cover up to 35 percent of the total event budget, with requests above that level reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants must be based in Nanaimo, be an incorporated non-profit society or community organization in good standing, have been active for at least one full year, or be an individual applicant reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
