About this program
The City of Waterloo Uptown Community Improvement Plan Facade Improvement Grant supports exterior improvements to eligible commercial and mixed-use properties in Uptown Waterloo. The program helps property owners and business tenants upgrade storefronts, signage, lighting, accessibility, and other visible exterior features that improve the public streetscape.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are property owners or authorized tenants of eligible commercial or mixed-use properties in the Uptown Waterloo Community Improvement Plan area.
Requirements
- Property must be located in the Uptown Waterloo Community Improvement Plan area.
- Applicant must apply before beginning eligible facade improvement work.
- Project must include eligible exterior building, storefront, signage, or accessibility improvements.
