About this program
The City of Red Deer Spark Grant, funded by Red Deer and District FCSS, supports neighbour-led projects that build relationships and help residents get to know each other. Projects may include block parties, community clean-ups, free skill-sharing sessions, community kitchens, neighbourhood tours, and multicultural activities. Applications may be submitted at any time, with monthly intake on the 10th day of each month, and each application must demonstrate equal or greater matching contributions from the community.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Red Deer residents or neighbourhood groups with at least three households interested in participating in a community connection project.
Requirements
- Application must include three or more households interested in participating.
- Project must build relationships, social offerings, neighbourhood pride, or respect and celebration of diversity.
- Applicant must demonstrate equal or greater matching contributions from the community.
