About this program
The City of Nanaimo Culture 1-Year Operating Grant provides operational support to professional arts, culture, and heritage organizations that contribute to Nanaimo's cultural profile, creative economy, public programming, and community identity. The grant supports organizations with a public-serving mandate, demonstrated local impact, and evidence of other public or private support. Operating grants may fund up to 25 percent of an organization's total annual operating budget.
Eligibility
Applicants must be incorporated, in good standing, based in Nanaimo, have an arts, culture, or heritage mandate, have operated for at least three years, offer year-round or seasonal public programming or services to artists, and show support from other sources.
