About this program
The City of Kitchener LoveMyHood Matching Grant supports new resident-led projects and neighbourhood initiatives that bring neighbours together, build connections, and create new programs or spaces. Eligible projects include little libraries, community gardens, greening projects, neighbourhood markets, street parties, art murals, and neighbourhood programs. Funding is awarded in three 2026 review periods, with project maximums depending on scope and location, including up to $30,000 for larger eligible initiatives, up to $10,000 for projects on non-City land, and up to $2,000 for events.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Kitchener residents and resident-led neighbourhood groups proposing new neighbourhood projects or initiatives in Kitchener.
Requirements
- Project must be resident-led and take place in Kitchener.
- Project must bring neighbours together, build connections, or create a new neighbourhood program or space.
- Applicant must work with the Neighbourhood Development Office before applying.
