NBIF Innovation Voucher Fund
Up to $80,000 (80% of project costs) for NB SMEs partnering with research organizations on innovation projects.
About this program
Administered by the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF), the Innovation Voucher Fund supports applied research and collaboration between New Brunswick SMEs and research organizations. The fund provides up to $80,000 per project (covering 80% of total project costs, on projects between $10,000 and $100,000) to help SMEs develop or commercialize new products, processes, or technologies. Funds are paid directly to the collaborating research organization. Priority is given to companies in NBIF's strategic sectors: ICT, industrial fabrication, biosciences, value-added wood, value-added food, aerospace and defense, and energy.
Eligibility
New Brunswick SMEs that are provincially or federally incorporated and registered to carry on business in NB, have fewer than 500 employees, and have at least 24 months of operating history. Must partner with a recognized research organization. The project must be innovative and have potential economic impact in New Brunswick.
