ACOA Business Development Program (BDP)
Interest-free, unsecured repayable contributions up to 50% of capital costs (75% of soft costs) for Atlantic Canada SMEs.
About this program
The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency's Business Development Program (BDP) helps entrepreneurs launch, modernize, and grow their business in Atlantic Canada including New Brunswick. The program provides interest-free, unsecured repayable funding covering up to 50% of capital costs for business expansion or new ventures. Interest-free contributions can also cover up to 75% of costs for business growth activities such as staff training, efficiency studies, marketing/trade, productivity improvements, quality assurance, and environmental management systems.
Eligibility
Small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) located in Atlantic Canada (NL, PE, NS, or NB), incorporated and operating for more than two years. Non-profit organizations that support SME growth are also eligible. Must have ability to co-fund the project (50% for capital, 25% for soft costs).
